I gained 600+ subscribers in two days on a brand-new channel. Not the most monumental achievement, but it looks like the start of a very successful channel.
And I will be sharing the tips I used to help grow this new channel so quickly. Hopefully, these will be helpful to anyone wanting to get into content creation.
The Longer, The Better
Upon starting this new channel, I wanted everything to be perfect. This meant no cutting corners this time. In the past, I never uploaded videos past 8 minutes. It was just too much hassle when it came to editing (I’m lazy). But when I started this new channel, I wanted to see if uploading longer videos would benefit the channel more and it has. My videos are making hundreds and thousands of impressions. They are also being recommended more.
I’m starting to realize: the longer, the better.
Viewers enjoy longer videos and so does YouTube. You’ll notice your videos will attract more the longer you make them. And it will give you better insight into your viewer retention. Spikes, dips, and all that.
