It’s Been a Year Since I’ve Uploaded on YouTube
It’s been a year since I’ve last uploaded a video on YouTube.
Since I’ve last opened Adobe Premiere Pro.
And honestly, it’s been a nice break.
Well, breaks are short, this was definitely more a vacation. And…don’t tell my YouTube subscribers, but I don’t feel like returning quite yet.
Anyway, on this vacation, I’ve had time to reflect.
I realized how obsessed I became with building a successful channel. Which obsession fueled by passion can be wonderful. However, this obsession was more monetary driven.
I wanted to make a full-time income with YouTube and quit my miserable job. So, I quit my job and began uploading every day.
Yes, I was recording content, editing and uploading in a single day.
This was 6am in the morning, until 7pm or even 12am at night.
My belief was that the consistency would grow the channel fast and I would essentially have a “automated” channel.
I did this for about 2 months before I sat back and looked at the analytics.
Realistically, I wasn’t going to be earning jack from the channel. Nowhere near a full-time income.
