The other day I was talking to someone who told me they were perfectly okay with working at their job until they retire.

And I have nothing against this person. They can do as they please, but the idea they were fine with working as a warehouse worker until 60 or 70 made me cringe.

Do you not have any aspirations or dreams?

But they had none at all and said they were content.

It’s baffling.

Nowadays, we are more comfortable with working that endless 9–5 and not striving for more.

For those of you fine with this, feel free to stop reading.

Are they gone?

Okay, now that those suckers are gone. Let's talk business.

How much for you to quit your job right now?

Some of you are throwing out numbers like $100,000!

Maybe $1,000,000.

And while I’d admit those numbers would tempt anyone to quit their job, we have to be more realistic.

Right now, it is more common for people to hold jobs making them a little over minimum wage, which is $15 an hour, $31,500 yearly.

College graduates are making an average of $51,000 yearly (if they manage to land a job).
